Family Room and Kitchen Addition
Edina, MN
This good-sized house lacked comfortable living spaces for a family of five. There was no family space near the kitchen, which was chopped up and had a too-small eating area. The lower level recreation areas were small and narrow.
The new Family Room brings daylight deep into the home and is scaled big enough for modern living but not too big to fit the scale of the older home. Quartersawn White Oak and subtle Arts and Crafts details are used to complement and warm the existing all white interior trim.
