Our projects are founded on our client’s values. Each project starts with the establishment of our client's values which are then diligently maintained and deepened as the project progresses. Many architectural firms are selling an aesthetic style – which by nature must take precedence over the client‘s values. We make decisions on
behalf of our clients, not for our clients. This is the source of the diversity in our work – helping to create a distinct architecture that is based on each of our client’s sensibilities.
Neither Traditional or Modern architectural vocabularies are treated as stylistic overlays but are instead fully integrated with modern planning concepts, based on modern lifestyles. Ideas such as daylighting, connection to the land, functional utility including planning for furniture groupings, interior connection between spaces, prospect and refuge are all an integrated part of the design process.
Can we create Places where a sense of well being comes from the place itself? Can we make Places where our connection to nature is so strong that we feel enlivened simply by being there? Can we make Places with a variety of experience that draw us to these areas as our moods change? Can we make Places that have a “Sense of Place” that is distinct and unique and that feels that it has always been there - that the place and the house evolved together?
We can answer yes to these and similar questions by a vigorous pursuit of an architecture that seeks to integrate and balance the vast range of criteria leading to a timeless type of architecture where the home will be useful, beautiful, life affirming, restorative and delightful.
